Heirloom Viili is a Finnish yogurt variety. It is very mild, creamy and has a thick consistency. It is perfect and delicious just plain or paired with a hint of honey and fresh berries. It is a delicacy with vanilla, maple syrup and strawberries: the perfect after-work indulgency. Easy to make and maintain, no heating required. Viili is a mesophilic culture, which means it cultures at room temperature. All our cultures are grown in organic A2 whole creamy milk from my private farm association. I had sensitivities to dairy most of my life. A2 milk gave me back my freedom. Now I enjoy eating cheese and yogurt without upsetting my gut and my immune system. Not all milk proteins are equal. I love this starter. I made my own starters from scratch four times in the past, but nothing like this one. My bread is so fluffy with lots of air bubbles!! It tastes so good and smells heavenly. I recommend it.
